About me
My name is Serge Émond. I currently live in Saguenay, a small city in Québec (Canada).
I have more than 17 years of experience in software programming and Unix administration. If we include the amateur years, then I have more than 30 years of experience.
I’m also passionate about numerous other things, including photography, music, 3D, drawing and games.

About this website
I initially created this website, under the name of “greyworld.net”, to publish my projects, thoughts, 3D renders and photographs.
After many years, it has become clear that I don’t have a natural tendency to publish much.
Thus I now consider this site to be an occasional playground: every once in a while, I like to build a new version using different technologies.
I still try every once in a while to publish something that may be useful to someone else.
The current version is built on Hydria, a custom CMS that I’ve been actively developing for years, and in production for many clients.
Language
My native language is French. I have learned English by reading books (like Dragonlance), listening to movies and series, and using computers since I’m 10 years old.
I try my best to write intelligibly, but I’m sure there are lots of weird sentences and errors.
Please feel free to [email me][mailme] if you believe I should write something in some other way, so I can learn from you!
Licensing
If you like what I publish, or use it somewhere, I would love to get feedback via serge@sergeemond.com.
